FRAX in SA – Prof Bilkish Cassim, 6 July 2021

Prof. Bilkish Cassim is the head of the Department of Geriatrics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

She is a member of the Executive Committee of NOFSA and has participated in the development of the NOFSA guidelines for the treatment of osteoporosis and the annual Advanced Courses in Osteoporosis.

She is the principal investigator for the multicentre study on the incidence of hip fractures in South Africa and the country lead for the Welcome Trust funded FRACTURE-E3 study due to start in 2020.
