CEO: Tereza Hough
Tereza Hough was appointed the CEO of NOFSA in 2003. She has 14 years’ experience as a Technologist in charge of the DXA lab at Tygerberg Hospital and also served for 14 years as an Educational Officer and Editor of the NOFSA Newsletter at NOFSA. She has 15 years’ experience as Study-coordinator and DXA operator in various drug trials (including osteoporosis studies on alendronate, raloxifene, risedronate etc.)
Her qualifications include Diplomas in General Nursing, and Midwifery (Tygerberg Hospital) as well as a BA (Communication and Industrial Psychology), UNISA.

NOFSA Brand Ambassador 2020: Lee-Anne Freeland-Hughes
Lee-Anne Freeland-Hughes (age 29) has been appointed as our NOFSA Brand Ambassador for 2020. She is an outstanding athlete that is undertaking the Comrades for the 4th consecutive time this year, a physical education teacher at Christian Brothers’ College and a member of the Melkbosstrand Athletics Club. Karlien van der Schyf (38) is a qualified Clinical Neurophysiologist and long distance runner. During the Comrades Marathon she broke her femoral neck mid stride from overuse and an ongoing stress fracture due to undiagnosed Osteoporosis. Read more about her here.
